Courses
The Association for Behavior Analysis International (Pathway 2) Verified Course Sequence is designed to meet the current educational standards required by the Behavior Analysis Certification Board, Inc.® (BACB) 5th Edition Course Sequence for persons who have already obtained a BACB approved Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Ph-D. The sequence is designed for courses to be taken sequentially and we do NOT allow participants to selectively attend classes. It is our expectation that a participant will begin and end with the same cohort.
BEHV 101 - BASIC PRINCIPLES IN BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS I
This course will examine basic principles in Behavior Analysis foundational to the understanding of the science of behavior and the application of that science to real world problems. More specifically, this course will teach students how to identify and apply basic concepts in Behavior Analysis.
BEHV 102 - BASIC PRINCIPLES IN BEHAVIOR ANALYSIS PART II
This course is a continuation of BEHV 101 and will continue to examine basic principles in Behavior Analysis foundational to the understanding of the science of behavior and the application of that science to real world problems. More specifically, this course will teach students how to identify and apply basic concepts in Behavior Analysis.
BEHV 103 – RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
This course will review experimental design and measurement practices in Behavior Analysis with a focus on applied contexts.
Prerequisites: BEHV 101 & BEHV 102.
BEHV 104 - ETHICS & PROFESSIONAL CONDUCT
This course will review ethical considerations and standards of practice in Behavior Analysis.
Prerequisites: 101, 102, & 103.
BEHV 105 - ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR MANAGEMENT
This course will review Performance Management as the branch of Applied Behavior Analysis that focuses on behavior in the workplace.
Prerequisites: 101, 102, 103, & 104
BEHV 106 - 107 SUPERVISION & PROFESSIONAL BEHAVIOR; VERBAL BEHAVIOR & AUTISM INTERVENTION
BEHV 106 – Supervision and Professional Behavior (15 Hours);
This course will review essential supervisory, communication, management and consulting skills as well as varied strategies to promote ethical and professional behavior in behavior analytic work.
Prerequisites: 101, 102, 103, & 104
BEHV 107 – Verbal Behavior & Autism Intervention (30 Hours)
This course is designed to review the concepts of Verbal Behavior and their application to language development for children with Autism
Prerequisites: 101, 102, 103, 104, 105, & 106
BEHV 108 - APPLIED PRACTICE AND INTERVENTION
This course is multifaceted. The course begins by examining the process of developing a Behavior Intervention Plan from beginning to end. This course will also explore several applications of the science of Behavior Analysis with both human and animal subjects
Prerequisites: 101, 102, 103, & 104
REVIEW CLASS
This course is being made available to those participants who finished course 104 and beyond. The review course will be devoted to those areas of examination preparation we have identified as most problematic for our past exam takers. The course will be in a different format primarily focused on simulating the exam experience while also offering participants the chance to not only answer simulated questions, but also receive live discussion on the content. The course will last only two weeks and will be 2 hours per session (4 hours total). The course will be offered the week of November 28 and the week of December 5th with the exact date and time still to be determined. The fee for this course is $125
